UL 3730 STANDARD FOR SAFETY Photovoltaic Junction Boxesscope1.1These requirements cover photovoltaic junction boxes intended to be attached to photovoltaicmodules and panels.1.2 These requirements cover photovoltaic junction boxes intended for factory and field wiring and mayinclude conduit openings, wiring leads, and/or photovoltaic connectors intended for interconnection of PVmodules.1.3 The products covered by these requirements are intended to be installed in accordance with theNational Electrical Code,ANSI/NFPA70.2General2.1Components2.1.1 Except as indicated in 2.1.2, a component of a product covered by this standard shall comply withthe requirements for that component.See Appendix A for a list of standards covering componentsgenerally used in the products covered by this standard.2.1.2 A component is not required to comply with a specific requirement that:a) Involves a feature or characteristic not required in the application of the component in theproduct covered by this standard , orb) ls superseded by a requirement in this standard.2.1.3 A component shall be used in accordance with its rating established for the intended conditions ofuse.2.1.4 Specific components are inco
